Bombardier Challenger 300 Aircraft 2000s
2000s heavy jets are the modern flagship class — Gulfstream G450/G550 (PlaneView), Bombardier Challenger 605/Global 5000/6000, Falcon 7X (2007+, first FBW Falcon), Embraer Legacy 600. Modern Rolls-Royce BR710/725, Honeywell HTF7000, Pratt & Whitney 308 engines. PlaneView, Pro Line 21, EASy II avionics. Two-crew operations universal; recurrent training intensive; mandate compliance current.
The Bombardier Challenger 300 is the original super-midsize jet that opened the super-mid category in 2004 — twin Honeywell HTF7000 engines, transcontinental range (~3,100 nm), stand-up flat-floor cabin and cruise around 459 kt. Produced 2003-2014 before being upgraded to the Challenger 350 in 2014. The 300 is the workhorse super-mid on the used market: large fleet, broad maintenance support, and lower acquisition costs than newer 350/3500 generations.
