Description
1971 Beechcraft Sierra (A24R) For sale is my well-cared-for, always-hangered Beech Sierra, a solid retractable-gear 4-seater based at Turlock Municipal (O15) in California. With its fuel-injected Lycoming IO-360 engine and straightforward systems, this Sierra delivers dependable performance at a real-world cruise of approximately 135 MPH. What sets the Sierra apart is its exceptional interior space - one of the roomiest cabins in the entire four-seat retractable class. At 44 inches wide, the cabin is a full two inches wider than the Beechcraft Bonanza, giving you noticeably more elbow room, shoulder space, and overall comfort for pilot and passengers on long trips. I especially love the easy entry you get with two doors compared to the single door on the Piper Cherokee I used to own. With solid Beechcraft construction and upgraded Madras wing tips, you get smooth handling and forgiving flight characteristics that make it a joy to fly. Avionics Panel include a Garmin GNC 250XL GPS/Comm, King KNS-80 integrated nav system, Stratus digital transponder, King audio panel, and Accutrak autopilot with altitude hold for solid VFR (and backup IFR) capability. If you're looking for a comfortable, roomy, and capable plane with a true "bigger-plane feel," this Sierra deserves a close look. Logbooks and maintenance history are complete with no damage history.
