About the Bombardier Challenger 850
The Bombardier Challenger 850 is the regional-jet-derived large-cabin business jet — based on the CRJ200 airline platform, with the largest "Challenger" cabin and stand-up room for larger groups (corporate shuttle, VIP, sports teams). Twin GE CF34-3B engines (same family as the 600-series Challenger). Production was relatively short; the used market is thin. Distinct from the standard Challenger 604/605/650, the 850's CRJ heritage means CRJ-style maintenance and parts support, which is a meaningful operating consideration.
Produced 2006–2012. Total produced: 70.
