About the Beechcraft Debonair 33
The Beechcraft Debonair is the original name (1960-1967) for the straight-tail Model 33 — a less-trim-deluxe variant of the Bonanza launched to compete on price with the Piper Comanche. Beechcraft renamed it the Bonanza 33 in 1968, but the Debonair name persists for early aircraft and has its own collector following. Same airframe lineage as the Bonanza 33: Continental IO-470 engine, ~168 kt cruise, four seats. (Cross-link: see also [Bonanza 33](/models/beechcraft-bonanza-33).)
Produced 1959–1961.
