About the Beechcraft Baron 55

The Beechcraft Baron 55 (Model 95-55) is the earlier, lighter Baron — a four-to-five-seat piston twin produced 1961-1982. Conventional doors, twin Continental IO-470 or IO-520 engines, and cruise around 190-200 knots. Variants run from the original 55 through A55, B55, C55, D55 and E55, with B55 the volume seller. The most affordable way into Baron twin ownership and a well-supported step-up twin.

Produced 1961–1982. Total produced: 3,000.
