DURING 50 HOUR INSPECTION, MECHANIC FOUND THE MIXTURE CONTROL OPERATION TO BE VERY STIFF. FOUND THE MIXTURE CONTROL UNIT ON ENGINE SEIZED AND VERY HARD TO MOVE BY HAND, REPLACED.

FIRST GROUND RUN REVEALED A LEAKING OIL PRESSURE TO WASTGATE HOSE OR FITTING. REPLACED FITTING IN ENGINE WITH NEW STEEL FITTING. SECOND GROUND RUN, OIL LEAKED FROM HOSE AGAIN. AFTER SLIGHT ADDITIONAL TORQUE APPLIED AND THIRD GROUND RUN, THE HOSE WA...

DURING CLIMB TO CRUISE ENGINE MADE A LOUD NOISE AND QUIT RUNNING, ENGINE REMAINED WINDMILLING TO LANDING. VISUAL INSP REVEALED NR 3 CYLINDER ROD BOLT MISSING, ROD CAP EXITED ENG THRU UPPER CASE, NO EVIDENCE OF OIL STARVATION.
