DURING 50 HOUR INSPECTION, MECHANIC FOUND THE MIXTURE CONTROL OPERATION TO BE VERY STIFF. FOUND THE MIXTURE CONTROL UNIT ON ENGINE SEIZED AND VERY HARD TO MOVE BY HAND, REPLACED.
ENROUTE, MANIFOLD PRESSURE DROPPED TO 24". INDUCTION TUBE FROM COMPRESSOR TO THROTTLEBODY FAILED WITH A 2" TO 3" HOLE ONLEFT SIDE BLEW OUT.
FIRST GROUND RUN REVEALED A LEAKING OIL PRESSURE TO WASTGATE HOSE OR FITTING. REPLACED FITTING IN ENGINE WITH NEW STEEL FITTING. SECOND GROUND RUN, OIL LEAKED FROM HOSE AGAIN. AFTER SLIGHT ADDITIONAL TORQUE APPLIED AND THIRD GROUND RUN, THE HOSE WA...
PILOT REPORTED NO GEAR DOWN INDICATION UPON LOWERING THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE. IFE WAS DECLARED, GEAR WAS VISUALLY CONFIRMED DOWN BY GROUND CREW AND ACFT LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE JAMB NUT THAT SECURES THE DOWN LOCK SWITCH HAD L...
6 NEW CYLINDERS WERE INSTALLED AUG 10, 2008 AT 2812 TOTAL TIME. THE CYLINDERS EXPERIENCED A FAILURE OF THE VALVE GUIDES ON 3 OF THE 6 AT 384 HOURS TIME IN SERVICE. ALL 3 FAILED VALVE GUIDES BROKE OFF AT THE INSERT POINT AND 1 COMPLETELY DISINTEGRATED...
