1957 Beechcraft 35H Bonanza. My Bo is not your average V tail. It's super fast with all the D'Shannon mods. D'Shannon 300 hp STC Conversion w/ a Factory Rebuilt Zero-Time IO550-B w/ D'Shannon conversion baffles, speed slope windshield, ½" side glass w/ left side port window, extended 3rd rear windows w/ extended baggage, extended tail cone, tip tanks (90-gal total), Garmin 530W, King KLX135, Garmin GTX345 w/ ADS-B in out interfaced with the GNS-530 WAAS (or your iPad) showing TCAS, TWAS, Weather and airport info, with Century NSD360A HSI. A Colorado airplane for the last 41 years with virtually NO corrosion. Clean as a street rod. Painted w/ new interior in 2002 etc etc....... one of the fastest piston engine singles on KAPA. Cruses at 165kts GS at 10,000 ft @ 60% = 2350 RPM / 20in / 15 GPH. Can go 188kts GS + @ 75%= 2450 / 23in / 17 GPH. It will take 2 people w/ 2 dogs with 100 lb of bags from Denver to Omaha in 2 hrs 31 min on 42 gal at 60% cruise. Or one-person w/ baggage and clubs non-stop from Denver to Chicago Exec in under 5 hours on less the 65 gal. That's less time than flying commercially when considering bag check, security, wait, flight, bag claim. This airplane handles like a sports car with a light 2 finger feel for the pilot that likes to hand fly or use the coupled Stec 30 w/ Alt hold for long flights. A great airplane for the discerning veteran pilot that wants modern speed and convenience with safety and a vintage feel.
