The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed and airplane control during initial climb, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall/spin and subsequent impact with the ground.

Jul 01, 2010 Twin Falls, ID N64427 Incident substantial The student pilot's improper landing flare.
Jul 01, 2010 Missoula, MT N3642C Incident substantial The pilot's inadequate compensation for the crosswind conditions and failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.
Jul 01, 2010 Avalon, CA N222CG Fatal (1) substantial The pilot's incapacitation due to a heart attack, which resulted in a loss of airplane control.
Jun 30, 2010 Huntsville, UT N9247B Incident substantial The pilot's failure to maintain adequate clearance from terrain during climb.
Jun 30, 2010 Chesapeake, VA N6064R Incident substantial A hard landing by person(s)unknown.
Jun 30, 2010 Iliamna, AK N4596U Minor substantial The total loss of engine power during cruise flight due to a fractured crankshaft.
Jun 27, 2010 Brainerd, MN N7691M Incident substantial The pilot's loss of airplane control while taking off with gusting wind.
Jun 26, 2010 Cahokia, IL N2785K Incident substantial The fatigue failure of the axle's attaching bolts during landing.
Jun 25, 2010 St. Charles, MO N5461B Incident substantial The pilot's improper takeoff procedure that led to a decreased climb rate and subsequent off-airport landing.
Jun 25, 2010 Salisbury, MD N2373K Incident substantial The student pilot's improper recovery from a bounced landing.
Jun 25, 2010 Babylon, NY N3973Y Minor substantial The loss of engine power due to the failure of the oil filter gasket and the subsequent engine oil depletion.
Jun 24, 2010 Ashdown, AR N18RR Minor substantial The pilot’s loss of directional control during the takeoff roll and his lack of experience in the airplane.
Jun 24, 2010 Cooper Landing, AK N7715A Incident substantial The pilot's failure to maintain airspeed during takeoff, resulting in an uncontrolled descent and collision with terrain.
Jun 23, 2010 Parker, AZ N432PB Minor substantial The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while landing with a crosswind.
Jun 23, 2010 Bryce Canyon, UT N55TA Incident substantial The pilot's inadequate compensation for the crosswinds during takeoff.
Jun 22, 2010 Albuquerque, NM N9849C Incident substantial The pilot's failure to lower the landing gear. Contributing to the accident was the pilot's distraction with an erroneous airspeed indicator.
Jun 21, 2010 Lock Haven, PA N30266 Fatal (3) substantial

The total loss of engine power resulting from the fatigue failure of the engine's number 2 cylinder exhaust valve. The fatigue failure was due to valve guide wear that led to excessive clearance between the valve and valve guide. Contributing to the accident was the contract operator’s lack of compliance with its own maintenance procedures, which, if followed, would have prevented the accident.

Jun 21, 2010 Jasper, TN N8321J Incident substantial The pilot under instruction's failure to maintain directional control during landing, and his failure to relinquish the flight controls when directed.
Jun 21, 2010 Storm Lake, IA N800VT Incident substantial

The pilot’s decision to land on a water contaminated runway, which resulted in a runway excursion during the landing roll. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s lack of knowledge regarding the landing distance required and the limited braking effectiveness on a water contaminated runway.

Jun 21, 2010 Broken Hill, AS VH-UFN Fatal (1) substantial Investigation pending
Jun 21, 2010 Big Creek, ID N2350C Incident substantial The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control while taxiing at an unfamiliar airstrip.
Jun 21, 2010 Maryland Heights, MO N1061X Incident substantial The pilot's improper flare, which resulted in a hard landing.
