Cessna Citation ENCORE+ Price & Cost

Cessna Citation ENCORE+ Price Guide

Key price factors: engine time to overhaul, year and airframe hours, avionics, damage history and logbook completeness — see the buying guide below for the full pre-purchase checklist.

Cessna Citation ENCORE+ Cost of Ownership estimate
Fuel (155.0 GPH × $6.20, 100 hrs)$96,100/yr
Annual Fixed (hangar, insurance, annual)$305,000/yr
Variable (per hour)$2,050/hr
Engine Overhaul (every 3,500 hrs)$300,000
Estimates at 100 flight hours/year. Actual costs vary by usage, location and insurance.

On this Citation the engine maintenance program dominates the budget — hot-section and overhaul time on the Pratt & Whitney / JT15D-class engines, and whether they are enrolled on an hourly program, swing cost far more than purchase price. Add phase inspections, avionics mandates such as ADS-B, insurance and recurrent training; program enrollment and inspections-due decide the real economics, not the headline price.

Buying a Used Cessna Citation ENCORE+

Buying a Cessna Citation ENCORE+ comes down to a focused pre-purchase checklist — here is what matters most on this model:

What to check before buying

The Citation Encore+ (Model 560 Encore+) is the factory upgrade of the Citation Encore — the same non-stretched 560 fuselage, but with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535B engines replacing the Encore's PW535A, plus an avionics refresh. Produced from about 2006 to 2009, it is the last evolution of the non-stretched 560 cabin before the XLS line.

Encore versus Encore+: The PW535B is an incremental improvement over the PW535A — primarily in fuel efficiency and engine-control refinement rather than a wholesale engine change. The updated panel is more modern than the base Encore's. If the base Encore's PW535A and avionics meet your needs, it offers the same 560 cabin at lower acquisition cost; the Encore+ is appropriate when the engine and panel updates matter or when a specific example is priced competitively.

560 non-stretched cabin: Both the Encore and Encore+ use the non-stretched 560 fuselage — the same basic cabin as the Citation V and V Ultra. The XLS (stretched 560XL) offers more cabin length at higher cost; for two-to-four occupant missions the non-stretched 560 cabin is usually adequate.

Crew: Like the rest of the straight-wing 560 line (V, Ultra, Encore), the Encore+ is a two-crew aircraft — it is not single-pilot certified. Budget for a second crew member.

Buy it if: you want the Citation Encore's non-stretched 560 cabin with the most modern engines and avionics Cessna offered in that fuselage. The Citation XLS adds cabin length at higher cost; the Encore is the step down within the same airframe.
