The Cessna 182M is the 1969 Skylane — a carbureted Continental O-470 four-seater from the late-1960s run, mechanically a sibling of the 182P/Q/R that followed. It flies and loads like the rest of the O-470 Skylane line (~140-kt cruise, four adults with baggage), so over a newer letter the case for an M is price and a well-kept early example rather than any capability gain. A sensible entry point into proven 230-hp Skylane utility for buyers who do not need fuel injection, glass, or the highest total time.
