About the Diamond DA62

The Diamond DA62 (2015+) is the modern composite twin-diesel family hauler — twin Austro AE330 diesel engines (300 hp each), composite construction, seven-seat cabin (including forward-facing 6th and 7th seats), factory Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, ~190 kt cruise. The DA62 extends the DA42's twin-diesel philosophy into the seven-seat family-hauler segment that has historically been the domain of cabin-class piston twins (Beechcraft Baron, Cessna 340/414) at much higher operating cost. With Jet-A operating economics, modern composite construction, and twin-engine redundancy, the DA62 represents a distinctive modern light-twin option.
