MED CREW REPORTS A FUEL ODOR WHILE IN FLIGHT. PERFORMED VISUAL INSPECTION OF ALL VIABLE FUEL LINES, FUEL SUMPS, FUEL NOZZLE, AND FUEL FILTERS, IAW AMM DMC 407-A-24-00-00-130A-A. NO LEAKS NOTED AT THIS TIME.
FUEL FUMES COMING OUT OF NURSE'S STATION SEAT BELT SLOT. REPAIRED BY REMOVING ROLLOVER ACCESS PANEL AND APPLIED SEALANT AROUND THE INERTIAL REEL RESTRAINT BRACKET
AIRCRAFT WAS APPROACHING STELLAR AIRPORT IN RENO, NV FOR FUEL WHEN THE ENGINE CHIP LIGHT CAME ON. PILOT LANDED AT THE AIRPORT AND CALLED MECHANICS. MECHANICS PULLED CHIP DETECTORS AND FOUND BOTH TO BE HEAVILY CONTAMINATED INCLUDING OIL SAMPLE.
SMOKE IN CABIN, AC HOSE ASSY HAD SPIRAL WRAP ON IT THAT CONTACTED HEATER SYSTEM FITTING BETWEEN TUBES PN: S-9402EC-17 AND S-9402EC-12 WHICH MELTED AND IS SUSPECTED TO HAVE CAUSED THE SMOKE IN CABIN EVENT.
UPON START PILOT HEARD HIGH PITCH HOWLING NOISE EMANATING FROM ENGINE/EXHAUST AREA. PILOT ELECTED TO SHUTDOWN TO NOTIFY MAINTENANCE.
ON CLIMB OUT, ENGINE OIL FILTER CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PROCEDURE IS LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL. I WAS OVER A NUMBER OF BUILDING AND ALREADY HEADED FOR THE AIRPORT AND CONTINUED TO LAND ON THE RAMP. INSPECTION AFTER SHUTDOWN SHOWED APPROPRIATE ENGI...
