Description
A rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully maintained Koliber 150A, with excellent hours remaining, good avionics, and unique performance upgrades. It is a legacy aircraft that now remains fully supported by Daher. The design is an evolution of the French Morane-Saulnier, MS.880B Rallye, which was from the family with lighter airframes powered by the 100hp Continental engine. The four seat Koliber 150 is one of the most powerful variants within this family of lighter airframes and uses the 150hp Lycoming O-320 engine, which is one of the most reliable and economical engines ever produced. The aircraft remains a popular choice among many European aviation schools due to its stable flight characteristics, forgiving handling, and sturdy undercarriage. It can also be used as an economical and effective glider tug. Private owners favour it for recreational flying due to its comfort, reliability, and ease of maintenance. Its roots in the Socata Rallye give it a reputation for being easy to fly, maintain, and operate, making it a classic example of a practical and effective all-round light aircraft with excellent handling qualities that inspired the factory to certify some of these aircraft for “gentleman’s” aerobatic manoeuvres.
The aircraft's rugged design and proven reliability, combined with excellent flight handling, respectable cruise speeds, and renowned short take-off and landing performance, have earned it a lasting place in the world of general aviation. This is a future classic and a very usable investment for any aviation enthusiast.

Originally registered as D-EIVF, I first purchased this aircraft over 20 years ago in the Bavarian region of Germany, from a couple who both had a passion for aviation. In 2014, the aircraft was re-registered as EI-FDC. The aircraft has always been in professional hands and has been hangared and maintained regardless of cost throughout its lifetime. **Please note, due to the ongoing increase in the price of aircraft parts and labour, this aircraft should not be compared with worn-out 1970s examples of similar types that are 20 years older, or any other high-time or tatty aircraft approaching TBO. Comprehensive inspections are most welcome from genuine buyers with a keen eye for quality. If necessary, any overseas buyer and or engineer can be collected / retuned to Dublin airport should you wish to view.
