An M20J priced like an M20C. Fly it now, upgrade it as you go. A great chance to get an 80's M20J for a good price. Note, I do not have logs on the plane at this time. The aircraft is located in New York.
Engine
2136 Hours SMOH. Aircraft is currently flying around 100 hours per year. Compressions at 2025 Annual: 76 / 76 / 76 / 78. No metal in oil and consumption is around a quart every 8-9 hours. Owner had planned to fly another 1,000 hours after TBO, but has decided to move into a fixed gear aircraft.
Propeller
753 Hours Since Prop Overhaul (2020). McCauley 2-Blade.
Interior
Fair Interior. Original. Pilot seat has a pretty good tear in it.
Exterior
Fair Paint. Owner calls it a '20 Footer'. It has been painted (it has a mid-90's style Mooney paint scheme. Owner says the side windows are fine but that the windshield will probably need to be replaced at some point, especially if you decide to paint it.
Inspection
Annual is due July 1, 2026. The logs on the aircraft start in 1996 (times determined from old invoices and workorders).
