About the Piper Aztec
The Piper Aztec (PA-23-250) is a rugged 250 hp piston twin — a six-seat workhorse used for charter, cargo, training and personal flying since 1959. Two Lycoming O-540 or IO-540 engines push it to ~190 knots, and the Turbo Aztec adds turbocharging for higher-altitude performance. Production through 1981 yielded variants A through F plus turbo and Nomad versions.
