Description
DRY COUNTRY 182P, 403 SMOH O-470-R (2022 Overhaul), DUAL GARMIN G3X TOUCH, GFC500 AP, GTN650, GTX345, GMA 345, GTR205, CEIS FUEL SENDERS, NEW INTERIOR, WHELEN LEDs, MOGAS STC (I only use 100LL), OVER $100K in UPGRADES SINCE 2024. ALL LOGS SINCE NEW. AIRLINE PILOT OWNED. This aircraft spent most of its life hangared in Idaho. No damage history, corrosion, or hail, February annual inspection. In addition to flying it 300 hours in the last two years, we've incurred substantial expense and shop downtime making this the perfect 182 for what we thought would be a long-term ownership proposition. Fortunately for its new owner, there should be very little remaining on the wishlist. While 182s are the perfect blend of utility, simplicity, and low cost of ownership, we are a T210 family at heart and I've made a recent purchase to replace the 182. This has been an amazing aircraft for exploring the Intermountain West - an 1172lb useful load, 78 gallons useable fuel, 130KTAS on 11-12 GPH fine-tuned with the Garmin engine monitor. A superb instrument or VFR platform. Reasonable insurance rates (I pay $1500/year with a 250/1500/17,000 hour pilot on policy). This 182P (her name is Greta) has been an outstanding all-around aircraft for the three pilots in our family. She will be missed, especially every time I write an insurance or maintenance check for the T210. More pictures and digitized logs available on request.
Engine
Continental O470-R with 403 SMOH. Complete Firewall Forward Overhaul in 2022 by Midwest Aircraft Services. Aircraft has flown 300 hours in the last two years with no issues. Oil consumption is minimal. Compressions at February annual #1 79/80, #2 75/80, #3 76/80, #4 72/80, #5 76/80 #6 75/80. No anomalies of cylinders during borescope inspections.
Propeller
3496 AFTT with no damage history or corrosion. Aircraft has been hangared in the dry climates of Idaho, Utah, and Montana its entire life. Paint is generally glossy with good coverage. There's some minor wear on the nose, wing leading edges forward of the fuel tanks (from aircraft fueling), the wing struts, and landing gear strut covers. Logs show no evidence of a repaint, so the paint may be original. Although it looks too good to believe it hasn't been repainted during its lifetime.
Interior
New Airtex Interior. No, it's not leather but it's comfortable, quiet, and clean. Everything from the 2022 interior upgrade still looks new. Interior plastics on instrument panel and sidewall areas are in great condition. Plastics on upper areas of the cabin are mostly fine with some slight cracking on the A pillar plastics. A new owner may consider painting the upper plastics and headliner to change color from the original Cessna off-white - this would be an easy an inexpensive upgrade to accomplish.
