Description

Offered for sale is our 1972 Cessna 182P, a solid, low-time aircraft with a current annual inspection and recent engine overhaul completed by Poplar Grove Airmotive. This was our first airplane, purchased with the intention of updating it. Since that time, our mission changed, and we upgraded to a Cessna 210. This dependable 182 is now ready for its next owner. This would make an excellent personal, family, cross-country, or time-building aircraft. Aircraft Information • Year/Model: 1972 Cessna 182P • Registration: N21001 • Serial Number: 182-61347 • Total Airframe Time: 2,974.5 hours • Engine: Continental O-470-R, Type H • Horsepower: 230 HP • Engine Time Prior to Recent Work: 830.1 hours • Annual Inspection: Current • Accident or Damage History: None • Logbooks: Complete and available • Storage: Always hangered • Location: Hangered in Davenport, Iowa Engine Update The engine had only 830.1 hours when work was recently completed by Poplar Grove Airmotive. Work and components included: • Six new Continental cylinders • Twelve new lifters • Camshaft grind service • New thrust bearings • New rocker shafts • New piston pins • New connecting-rod bushings, bolts, and nuts • New crankshaft seal • New magneto gears, retainers, cushions, and related components • New bearings, seals, gaskets, hardware, and other internal components as required This was far more extensive than a routine cylinder replacement. The engine received significant attention from a respected aircraft engine facility, totaling $54K, with invoices and logbook documentation available for review to get her ready for new adventures. Avionics and Equipment 1. Bendix/King KMA-24 Audio Panel 2. Garmin GTR 225B VHF Communications Transceiver 3. Cessna ARC RT-508A Nav/Com Radio 4. Cessna ARC RT-359A Transponder Mechanically, this is a strong aircraft with a low-time airframe, current annual inspection, complete logbooks, no accident or damage history, and updated engine. The primary issue is cosmetic. The aircraft retains its original paint, which is worn and needs to be re-painted. It is priced accordingly. For the next owner, this aircraft offers a blank canvas. Rather than paying a premium for someone else's paint choices, the buyer can select a completely new exterior design and color scheme while starting with a solid, capable Cessna 182. The airplane located in Davenport, Iowa. Serious inquiries are welcome. Complete logbooks, Poplar Grove Airmotive documentation, invoices, photographs, and additional aircraft information are available upon request.
