Description
Great twin engine aircraft, more spacious than the small jets or even some of the medium ones, to carry up to 10 persons in high density configuration! Why buy a Cessna 402 One of the most economical twin engine aircraft with 8-10 seats at 61% power, fuel burn is about 28 gals. This is a money maker, low acquisition cost lower maintenance costs, better payload no pressurization, no de-ice, no oxygen, no heater, charter rates for these aircraft are around $1000.- and more per hr. Why buy this Cessna 402A: It has been well taken care of. In our company since 1999, initially in 1999 all floorboards were removed and most of the interior epoxy primed and treated against corrosion with Corrosion X, or ACF 50 All the electric wires in the engine compartments have been replaced with new and soldered into the wing plug some all the way to the shunt and the relays. All aluminum fuel lines behind the firewall have been replaced with stainless steel lines. Auxiliary tank fuel bladders are kept full to prevent dry rot. We usually do engine compression checks every 50 hrs low cyl are borescoped. Oil samples are sent in for oil analysis (Blackstone). Both engines have fine wire spark plugs from Tempest. Our 2nd to last flight was an FAA IFR check ride, during which autopilot coupling had to be demonstrated Why do we sell: We have replaced it with Cessna 402C which have even better payload and range.
About the Cessna 402A
The Cessna 400-series utility/commuter twins are the workhorses of the line — the 402 (1967-1985, twin TSIO-520, 6-10 seats, commuter staple), the 404 Titan (1976-1982, geared engines, larger cabin), and the 411 (1962-1968, the original 400-series). Used heavily for commuter and freight operations. Cruise around 200-220 knots.
Produced 1971–1984.
