The Eclipse 550 (and the upgraded "Total Eclipse" 500s) is the refined version of the original very light jet — a compact twin-engine personal jet powered by twin Pratt & Whitney PW610F engines, offering ~370 kt cruise, twin-jet redundancy and some of the lowest operating costs of any jet. With updated Avio NG avionics and available FIKI known-ice protection, it is an economical entry into twin-jet ownership for owner-pilots.
