About the Beechcraft Musketeer
The Beechcraft Musketeer family is Beechcraft's line of low-cost, fixed-gear training and touring singles, sold under names including the Musketeer, the Sundowner, the Sierra and the Skipper. Built from 1963, these aircraft share a simple, durable airframe and were aimed at flight schools and entry-level owners. The Beechcraft Sundowner (Model C23) is the best-known four-seat tourer, the Sierra (A24R/C24R) is the retractable-gear version, and the Beech 77 Skipper is the two-seat trainer — together making the Musketeer family an affordable entry point into Beechcraft ownership.
