Description

Up for sale is N2866L, a 1967 C172H model. It is a fantastic all-Garmin IFR platform/trainer with a two axis autopilot plus auto-trim . I have owned this trusty and reliable aircraft since 2018 and I am liquidating it for estate reasons. This aircraft has been upgraded to be TAA (Technically Advanced Aircraft) compliant and is a joy to fly. It has been meticulously maintained at Aerowood Aviation Maintenance. ACTT: 6706.9 TSOH: 678.6 It is currently getting it's annual inspection, so the buyer will have a relatively fresh annual. Pricing this airplane is a challenge. There are literally no 172H models that have a comparable avionics package, so I've decided to hold the sale as a Dutch Auction where the price decreases steadily until sold. The price will start at $180,00 and starting April 1st will reduce $1000/day until sold. You can make me an offer - say $135k, and I will reply that this price point will occur on May 15th (45 days from April 1st). To hold a price, I require a $2000 refundable earnest money deposit. If it's not sold before your price/date, then the sale is yours and you'll have 7 days to complete the transfer of the balance. Here are some random price points. $160k: 4/20; $125k: 5/25; $89k: 6/30 and so on. Don't let my starting price scare you - determine your price point after a flight and pre-buy, and make an offer. While it is up for sale, the airplane will remain in the Aerowood Aviation Fleet as one of their premier IFR flight trainers. Once sold and the title transferred, it will be removed from the roster. Buyer test flights will be handled by the Aerowood flight School at KEQY and the prospective buyer will be responsible for the airplane dual hourly rate (with a CFI). The Maintenance Logbook is available for inspection at the Aerowood flight office. AMP Inspections can happen anytime the airplane is not on the flight schedule. Please contact me if you have any questions! You can view two Youtube videos from 5 years ago before the autopilot was installed. The student flying the airplane while I narrate is now a Captain for PSA Airlines, so the airplane is effective!! Search on Youtube for: N2866L KEQY RWY05 and you can view the ILS and the LPV approaches to RWY5 @ KEQY

About the Cessna 172H

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is the best-selling aircraft of all time — more than 44,000 built — and the definitive four-seat high-wing training and touring single. It comes in three sub-families: the fixed-gear 172 letter series (172A through 172S, the volume of the fleet), the retractable-gear 172RG Cutlass, and the higher-powered R172 Hawk XP. The Skyhawk returned to production in 1996 and the fuel-injected 172S remains in production today. See the live price range and median above for the Cessna 172 and 172 Skyhawk listings on the market now, from early letter-series airframes to new-production 172S models.

Produced 1956. Total produced: 45,000.
