Description

402CK has been an excellent, problem free aircraft. I am picking up a new (to me) pressurize turbo prop in two weeks. Since I have had the airplane, I have cruised at 65% power. Cylinder compressions have remained steady or slightly improved every year, and she burns one or 2 quarts of oil between changes that way. The top end was done 425 hours ago. I have been told that this TN engine is the best Cirrus has ever offered-more fuel efficient and runs cooler than the newer K model. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. FIKI flows well-important. If you come and see her, you will want her. The mountain high oxygen feed system is great. A little blinking light right in front of you every time you take a breath, 25 hours of O2 for 2 people at 16,000 ft. I think she has all the options that were available when new. Always hangared. Cirrus service center maintained, mostly. No damage history. Updated Kelly Air Conditioning. Chute due Oct 2028. Cutters, mags, batteries, O2 tank, starter, altimiter all done recently. Next annual due June of 2027.

Engine

I am told that the Continental Platinum turbo normalized engine is the finest engine ever put in a Cirrus. It runs cooler and is more efficient than the newer K model turbo. Top end overhaul done 341 hours ago, 1421 since new. Since I bought it I fly it at 65% power. It burns almost no oil, and the compressions remain steady. 72, 74, 77, 65, 76, 74/80. My plan was to enable a condition based overhaul rather than an hours based overhaul. I have great confidence in this engine. Rebuilt mags, new starter, three new batteries.

Propeller

The air frame looks great. No damage history.

Interior

The interior and exterior look great. A handful of BB or pea sized defects that are barely visible. The plastic is crystal clear. Seats are all in great condition. I put sheep skin covers on the front seats for comfort.
