Description

Discover the perfect blend of performance, safety, and advanced technology with this fantastic Diamond DA40 XLS! The DA40 platform is highly regarded and is the quintessential aircraft for many an aviator. Perfect for student pilots, instrument students, time-builders, and seasoned aviators alike. The 2008 model kick-started the XLS line and is equipped with the state-of-the-art Garmin G1000 avionics suite that is WAAS enabled. This aircraft provides a modern and intuitive cockpit experience that enhances situational awareness and simplifies navigation. This DA40 is not only ready for your next adventure but is also a smart investment for your flying future. Whether you’re honing your skills or taking to the skies for leisure, this remarkable aircraft promises to deliver an unparalleled flying experience. N695DS has been a 5-owner aircraft with the current owner having lovingly cared for it the past three years. Since 2013, with the past 2 owners, it has been based at the same airport. It has been put to great use over that timeframe in a flying club on the field. It has never been part of a traditional flight school fleet and has exclusively served it's owner and the club members on a mix of both training and personal use adventures. The current owner is a professional pilot making a move to New England and sadly cannot justify continued ownership with the associated downsizing necessary for the move. This Diamond Star has been expertly maintained by a Diamond Aircraft Service Center (Dillon's Aviation in Greenville, NC) and features a great track record with no accidents, incidents, or damage history. All logbooks are continuous and complete. It boasts solid engine compressions and is chock full of options and upgrades. N695DS is ready to be seen into the hands of a new owner to continue it's great story. As the most affordable Diamond DA40 XLS Diamond Star on the market today, you will not want to miss this very well equipped one... Front seats have been protected with beige sheepskin covers which have been regularly dry cleaned by the current owner. About the Diamond DA40

The Diamond DA40 is one of the safest four-seat single-engine aircraft in production — composite construction, Austro AE300 diesel (modern variants) or Lycoming IO-360 (DA40-180 piston variant), factory Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, ~150 kt cruise on the diesel. The DA40's exceptional safety record (independent analyses consistently rank it among the safest small aircraft) combines with materially lower operating cost than Avgas equivalents (DA40 NG with diesel burns ~6-9 gph Jet-A vs ~10-12 gph Avgas on equivalent Cessna 172 or Cirrus SR20). Production variants: DA40 TDI (Thielert diesel, 2002-2008 — engine support issues), DA40 NG (Austro AE300 diesel, 2009+ — current), DA40-180 (Lycoming IO-360 piston, current). The DA40 NG with Austro AE300 is the volume modern fleet.

Produced 2000. Total produced: 2,000.
