AQUILA AT01-142 D-EBOT - project
Aquila AT01-142 for sale after EASA known Rotax power loss after TO and followed off-field landing. For this reason, we would like to dispose of our SEP aircraft equipped with Rotax engines. Tap the "Specifications" button to read an alarming LBA article on Rotax engine incidents.
Aircraft recovered and hangared at EDVU Uelzen, Germany. Not airworthy. Wings and fuselage disassembled during recovery. Known or suspected affected areas: airframe, wings, main gear, firewall, nose gear, engine mount, cowling, propeller, radiator/cooling system, wheel fairings, wiring/electrics. Complete post-accident inspection required due to soft field landing followed by nose gear colapse. Engine was running during landing.
Aircraft was previously in controlled environment until 02/2025, thereafter Pilot Owner Maintenance EASA Part ML with specialist support from EASA Part 145. Approx. 45 h flown after last inspection before the event.
Interesting rebuild project, possible Rotax 912 iS conversion subject to technical and approval checks, or suitable as parts aircraft.
