In 2009, after a loss of directional control on landing by the pilot in strong crosswind conditions, the aircraft departed the runway into rough grass. The nose undercarriage collapsed leading to a prop strike. The firewall has been repaired, propeller and engine were subsequently replaced and installed new in 2009. The Lycoming TIO-540-AE2A engine has since accumulated approximately 1,910 hours since. In October 2021, all six cylinders were replaced and have since accrued only around 320 hours, with the engine reported by the maintenance facility to be in very good condition.
