1984 Pitts S1-T Special

A rare opportunity to purchase one of only three permit to fly Pitts Special S1Ts in the UK. This makes it particularly attractive to own and maintain having been built from a factory supplied kit, it therefore has amateur built status and is supported by the LAA meaning you can modify it and work on it yourself unlike most C of A factory built S1Ts. This has been a CK Aviation aircraft for two years, maintained and hangared by ATS at Wycombe Air Park. Over 80,000 spent in the last two years. Despite being on a permit we have left the maintenance in the hands of ATS who are renowned for their aerobatic aircraft maintenance so PZ has been maintained in our ownership to C of A standards. The aircraft suffered a minor prop strike in 2025 so it has recently benefitted from a full engine rebuilt at Gama with new, bearings, seals and all 4 cylinders have been overhauled. Compressions are perfect. Only two hours of bedding in flight has been conducted. Zero time MTV variable pitch propeller. Overhauled magnetos and new bungees. Modifications include a smoke system, SkyDynamics light weight magnesium sump, 4 into 1 exhaust and cold air induction. It's putting out in the region of 220hp and certainly goes like it. Fabric and paint are in good condition, 10 years old, last done in 2014. The aircraft is stored in a warm dry hangar at ATS at Wycombe Air Park.
