A rare opportunity to own a beautifully rebuilt Pitts S2-A with Hollywood history. Originally registered as N99C and featured in the 1980 aviation movie "The Pilot." Complete rebuild and recover in 2000 by renowned Pitts expert Carl Pascarell. 370 hours on airframe since rebuild and 2121 hours total airframe time. Lycoming AEIO-360-A1A. 1035 hours since factory rebuild. Engine time since new 2840. MT MTV-9-3, 3 blade propeller with less than 100 hours since new. Garmin GTX 335 ADS-B Out Transponder. Digital fuel readout gage. Collins comm radio. Single canopy. This aircraft presents very well, has been well cared for and performs very well and is rigged wonderfully. Next annual due October 2026. The 2024 annual was done by expert Cilliers. She flies regularly, recreational and instructional aerobatics/ spin endorsements. Nearly always less than +4/-2 flying. Great fun and very reliable machine.
Engine
Lycoming AEIO-360-A1A with 1035 since factory rebuild. 2840 SNEW. 77 hours on brand new MT MTV-9, 3 blade propeller and hub. Compressions 74, 73, 72 77. Clean screen.
Propeller
370 hours since complete rebuild and recover. 2121 total. Spades. Very nice, good fabric, good shine and excellent frame. Always hangared. Ratchet Hooker Harness 5 point aft seat. New Hooker Harness front.
Interior
8/10 in and out.
