This Pitts S-2A has been used for what it does best — training, teaching, and pure flying enjoyment. For most of its life it operated in structured flying school and aerobatic training environments, making it a forgiving, confidence-building aircraft that handles extremely well.
It is a tight, well-sorted Pitts with predictable handling and excellent control harmony, ideal for tailwheel endorsements, aerobatic familiarisation, UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training), and instructor-led training
In recent years it has been privately owned, hangared, and flown primarily for aerobatic training and competition, where it has continued to prove itself as a capable, enjoyable, and confidence-inspiring aeroplane.
This aircraft is particularly well suited to a flying school or aerobatic instructor seeking a proven Pitts S-2A for training and teaching, or for pilots wanting to learn aerobatics properly in a classic Pitts. Lycoming AEIO-360-A1A, 200 HP aerobatic engine (with full inverted system) Engine was bulk stripped replaced with new bearings, honed cylinders and new rings, new camshaft and lifters, reconditioned magnetos and oil cooler, and new fuel lines and oil hoses. Approximately 126 hours since this work was completed. Engine runs strong with excellent oil pressure and temperatures. Basic VFR Instruments VHF + Mode C transponder - Digital flight fuel system+ USB charger Duel seating, changed within min to solo. Front wind screen for the passenger, easliy removed, when not used, Back seat has booker Harness ratchet, duel intercom, digital fuel / fuel burn hr/ reserve/ used.

All log books are in Qld at Nigels, Annual was completed by Nigel Arnott, Ultimate Aero Boonah Qld, everything that needed to be replaced was and checked. andreplaced Tyres, discs and brake pads, Wings checked and re- rigged. wheel spats were repainted
