Description
This plane is N°20. It was the first Nord 3202 that was restored to flight in 1980. As far as we know, this particuliar machine was used to train the pilots who were to fly the single-seater N.3202 that were used by the French Army pilots in aerobatic competitions, and is flown solo from the rear seat. It is fully aerobatic. It is a powerful aircraft, very demonstrative in flight and the controls are really delightful. The undercarriage is very strong and gives a very soft roll on the ground.
From a pilot point of view, the Nord 3202 can be described as the missing link between the Chipmunk and the T.6. It is definitly a pilot's aircraft.
For the engineer, the accessibility of components is very easy, with lots of access panels all along the fuselage.
This plane was used for a Paris to London inverted flight, and was very much a TV and advertising star all along the 80's and 90's ! Currently, the plane is a non-flyer, having been stored for some years. The engine has been regularly run.
The airframe is in a beautiful shape, but requires a overhaul, partial re-fabric and a new paint.
It is a perfect and easy project, and some necessary parts are available from me, if necessary.
