Description
Very rare ORIGINAL 1956 Canadian Chipmunk. This aircraft is registered in STANDARD/AEROBATIC category and can be used for tailwheel and aerobatic training. Serial number 197-237 indicates it was one of the very last of the 217 Chipmunks built in Canada. It therefore has all the factory improvements developed during the production run. Until my purchase the plane was owned by the same owner and maintained by the same A P for 26 years....Meticulous maintenance. Improvements include long range tanks (32 vice 24 gallons), slick mags, wheel pants and Cleveland brakes.
Engine
Gypsy Major engine with 1080 SMOH/260 STOH. Cylinder heads rethreaded from 12 to 14 mm to accept RL-37B plugs. Slick mags. All Teflon oil/fuel lines
Propeller
Older paint but still very strong....no cracking or corrosion evident. Fabric work is excellent. Annual good through 9/30/26
Interior
Leather seats in like new condition. All original instruments including compass
