Description

1946 Cessna C120 for sale. G-BRPF. Permit aircraft so can be maintained under the LAA. 12 Delightful years in my ownership. This aircraft purrs along at 105 - 110mph at 2350rpm showing a 55psi oil pressure in all modes of flight. A new certified 0200 was installed around 5 years ago and performs flawlessly with no oil leaks. Upgraded starter, alternator, electrics, zero timed mags and a new harness were also installed. New permit. All instrumentation, radio, transponder work as they should. FUNKE OLED Radio and transponder installed. 4 channel MGL CHT and all of the regular instruments. The aircraft is 100% mechanically sound but being 1946 vintage, the aesthetics are a little tired but very acceptable. I get lovely comments at most airfields regarding G-BRPF and I truly love this aircraft. The oil pressure stays around 55 PSI which is very good, the 4 channel CHT monitor indicates very good temperatures in all flight modes and weather conditions, and the engine runs very smoothly. Compressions are all in the higher 78's and the propellor is in good condition although a new coat of paint would make it look a bit better. The electrical / starter system was all upgraded to modern standards when the engine was fitted so you can use as many accessories as you wish. The aircraft is a delight to fly. It has a benign stall, cruise of 105mph - 110mph at 2350rpm and is easy to land if you have taildragger experience. All combined with classic charm. The reason for the sale is that my Zenith CH750 STOL project is nearing completion. Mark: This site requires javascript to function. Please activate JavaScript in your browser.
