The Eurocopter EC225 (H225) Super Puma is a heavy twin-turbine helicopter built for the most demanding offshore oil-and-gas and SAR transport — a large cabin, long range and twin Makila engines. The EC175 (H175) is the newer super-medium twin sitting just below it. Both are specialist commercial assets defined by their engine/component program status and offshore/SAR configuration.
