About the Hawker 4000
The Hawker 4000 (2008-2012) is Hawker Beechcraft's composite-airframe heavy mid-size jet — twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308A turbofans, ~462 kt cruise, ~3,200 nm range, eight- passenger stand-up cabin. The 4000 was developed as a successor flagship to the Hawker 800-series with modern composite airframe construction and Honeywell Primus EPIC avionics. Production was limited (~70 units) before Hawker Beechcraft's bankruptcy ended further production. The Hawker 4000 has the cabin size and range to compete with super-mid jets at materially lower acquisition cost on the used market, but parts and support situation is meaningfully thinner than 800-series or current super-mid alternatives.
Produced 2008–2013. Total produced: 67.
