Selling my beloved piece of history. 1947 Stampe SV4C S/N 530, airframe total time 2360 hrs, Renault 4PO3 engine 40 hrs (after overhaul), wooden propeller Merville 745 in perfect shape. Airframe and wings fabric in very good shape, no cracks. The biplane is a pure joy to fly with four ailerons and well balanced controls. The engine runs smooth with its characteristic “sewing machine†sound. Air starter works fine. Trig 8,33 radio and mode S transponder. Wind generator. Selling with a spare engine, without accessories though (hand fuel pumps, magnetos and fuel filter). No tyre kickers! This site requires javascript to function. About the Stampe SV4C
The Stampe SV.4 is one of Europe's most loved vintage biplanes — a graceful 1930s open-cockpit aerobatic trainer with crisp, rewarding handling, often called the continental Tiger Moth. A wood-and-fabric classic prized on the vintage and aerobatic scene, it offers authentic open-cockpit biplane flying for the enthusiast willing to care for an older airframe.
