The 8GCBC Scout is a two-seat, high-wing, single-engined fixed conventional
gear general aviation airplane that entered production in the United States
in 1974. Designed for personal and commercial use, it is commonly found
in utility roles such as bush flying—thanks to its short takeoff and landing
(STOL) ability—as well as agriculture, pipeline patrol, and glider and banner

About the American Champion American Champion Scout
The American Champion Scout (8GCBC) is the utility/backcountry member of the family — a high-wing fabric taildragger with a strong useful load, STOL capability and a reputation as an excellent glider tug and bush hauler. With a 180 hp engine, big tyres and flaps, it carries more than the Citabria/Decathlon and is built for rough strips and working roles.
