The DA62 extends the DA42's twin-diesel philosophy into the seven-seat family-hauler segment that has historically been the domain of cabin-class piston twins (Beechcraft Baron, Cessna 340/414) at much higher operating cost. With Jet-A operating economics, modern composite construction, and twin-engine redundancy, the DA62 represents a distinctive modern light-twin option.
