Smith Miniplane DSA1 This is a unique opportunity to own the only Smith Miniplane on the UK register. G-GTGJ was built in Ohio USA in 1972 and imported into the UK in 1991. G-GJ has a Continental C90 engine with just 4 hours since major overhaul. Magneto's and carb have 52 hours since overhaul with all AD's being complied with. The airframe has 760 hours since new. The Miniplane has no electrical system and as a result is started by hand swinging the prop. The engine always starts easily and training will be provided if necessary. G-GJ is cleared for positive G aerobatics. It's fine pitch Evra prop allows for operation from 350m strips and will cruise at 90mph at 2300rpm. Permit until 14-07-22. £12,000.
