SAFETY WITHOUT COMPROMISE:

Structural failures are the result of complex assemblies. OneShot allows us to create a simpler, safer & more durable aircraft. Its airframe is made without glue, screws or rivets. The result: an airframe made of only 8 parts. No corrosion, no air bubbles in the glue, no wood deterioration… All of this for unbeatable operating costs.

The unique fuel tank is filled with anti-explosion & anti-tossing foam, assuring a flight as smooth & safe as possible. & because there is only one fuel tank, no need to switch from one tank to another. No careless mistake possible.

1 aircraft, 1 parachute. The unexpected can happen to anyone. This is why we decided to integrate a BRS ballistic parachute as soon as we started the conception of the Elixir. & because everyone should fly safe, it is available as standard on all our aircrafts.

The Elixir is EASA CS-23 certified, the ultimate guarantee of safety & quality. It complies with the latest version of the most restrictive European regulations for light aircraft.

SIMPLICITY:

Simplicity at your fingertips Aviation is usually synonym of complex cockpits filled with gauges, buttons & switches. Not in the Elixir. Flight parameters, engine parameters, NAV/COM, GPS, autopilot: everything is accessible from the Garmin G3X’s tactile display. All you need is right here. For the lovers of analogic instruments, we also included classic gauges on the pilot’s side. & because simplicity is our goal, we included a single lever that manages both the engine & the propeller’s pitch.

Safety & affordability rhyme with design. Proud of our nautical roots, we designed an aircraft with sleek lines, distinguishing with its T-tail. The large canopy mounted on a ultra rigid structure ensures a clear vision of the environment. We worked with professionals of the automotive industry to bring you a modern & familiar cockpit. You will find tablets supports on both sides of the Garmin G3X, featuring USB outputs. The times using an iPad on your knees or an always-falling suction cup are over.

The Elixir’s conception allows you to chose among a wide panel of paint colour & scheme on the carbon airframe. You can create the livery that you always dreamed about. Why don’t you change from one year to another?

OneShot:

The OneShot is a technology that has been used for more than 15 years in competitive sailing. This technique consists of designing & manufacturing complex elements (such as a wing) without complex structural assemblies. For example, the wing of the Elixir is made without ribs or spars. Traditional mechanical assemblies such as screwing, riveting & gluing are eliminated. Elixir Aircraft is the first company in the world to design an entire wing (full span) entirely in OneShot. The fuselage, canopy arch & control surfaces (ailerons, flaps & vertical stabilizer) are also made in OneShot. This absence of assembly is the main difference compared to all the composite aircraft we see. These are all made up of hundreds of parts, manufactured in moulds & then glued together. We talk about “black metal”, we reproduce metal parts in composite. In the case of OneShot, we take advantage of the composite to make everything in one operation, eliminating the hassle of assemblies.

There are many benefits coming from OneShot. Fewer parts & fewer assemblies mean fewer failures, less maintenance & therefore lower costs! At the same time, safety is enhanced by the simplicity of the structure & performance is improved by the reduced weight.

Be careful not to confuse OneShot parts with monobloc parts. A OneShot part is necessarily monobloc, however the reciprocal is not true. A classic monobloc wing is a single element from one end to the other but is made of hundreds of parts assembled together (spar, rib, skins, stiffeners…). A OneShot wing is monobloc from one wingtip to the other, with no parts attached & glued together.

EASA CS-23 certification opens the doors of NVFR & IFR. The weather will not be a barrier to you departure or arrival schedule anymore. OneShot allowed us to install a fuel tank assuring an exceptional autonomy. We have chosen to fill it with foam to limit tossing & to avoid explosions. Combined with the Rotax 912iS or 915
