G-MYSJ, Mainair Flash 2 Alpha with Rotax 503 DCDi engine. A/F 1039 hrs / Engine 434 hrs. 65 litre fuel tank fitted with new primer bulb and primer bulb by-pass mod fitted. Wing is in great condition and sails through (pardon the pun) the Betts test with ease. These older sails seem to be the best they made. Permit expired 14/08/17. Comes with a stack of paperwork including all of the previous completed Permit Forms and a few receipts. The aircraft has been stored fully rigged in a dry hanger since I purchased it in 2006 and has had occasional engine runs when laid up for long periods. Aircraft had only done 9 hrs since last inspection for permit and since the issue of that permit had decoke, carb strip, new fan belt and new BR8ES spark plugs. Aircraft comes with trike cover, wing bag / batten bag, batten profile sheet, de-rigging tool and original Rotax tool kit. ***All mandatory work has been carried out and logged EXCEPT SB147 (Roll swaged cables). *** New lower wires will need to be fitted when available from P&Ms new owners – this should be in a few months' time. Current lower wires have been visually inspected and deemed ok to fly ‘on inspection' for 25 hrs, at which time the new wires must be fitted. This aircraft would make a great fun SSDR (it only needs rear seat belt removed, a placard and a letter of declaration to CAA to do this) and even with 50 litres of fuel and 90kg pilot you have 30kg to spare for SSDR limit. As the aircraft has done little flying since its last Permit I can't see why it couldn't be permitted again. This could be arranged locally but would add to the cost – call me if this is an option for you. I have upgraded and bought another aircraft so need to move this aircraft on …. So …. If I get an offer soon, and it is close to the asking price, I could include some extras such as a Lynx Micro Intercomm system (no helmets or headsets), Icom radio (25 kHz spacing), Mainair Trike bag and some high grade 2 stroke oil. Aircraft is currently hangered fully rigged at Newtownards Airfield, Northern Ireland. All photos taken 12/08/2019. Call Alan on 07813669150 or email flash2alpha(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks for looking. Short video here of one of my last flights showing G-MYSJ at her best. Added short video of engine idling and revving. Its a very sweet running 503 :-) This site requires javascript to function.
