VFRDescription
Coming to auction soon by PlaneVault- 1989 Piper PA-28-161 Cadet - 9 Hours Total Time Since Assembly This exceptionally unique 1989 Piper PA-28-161 presents a rare opportunity to own what is essentially a near-new PA-28. With only 9 hours total time, 9 hours since major overhaul, and 9 hours since new propeller, this aircraft represents one of the lowest-time Cadets available anywhere. The airframe's fuselage and wings were originally supplied by Piper Aircraft to an aviation maintenance school in the early 1990s. The components were never used and remained preserved in their original wooden crates indoors for decades. The current owner later acquired these factory-supplied assemblies and completed the aircraft under the supervision of a former Piper Aircraft engineer who previously oversaw factory assembly operations. The result is an aircraft that is about as close to a factory-new PA-28 as one can realistically obtain today. Power is provided by a fresh major-overhauled Lycoming O-320-D3G paired with a new Sensenich propeller, both with only 9 hours since installation. Avionics include a King KX155 Nav/Com, transponder, intercom system, ADS-B Out compliance, and push-to-talk switches on both control yokes. The aircraft features fresh Jet Glo paint and a completely new interior including new side panels, headliner, insulation, carpeting, windows, door seals, and lighting. Additional updates include rebuilt struts, new brakes, new tires and wheel bearings, and advanced wingtip night lighting. New hardware and fasteners were installed throughout the build process. Useful load is 853 lbs. The aircraft has a fresh annual inspection, initial test flights have been completed, and it is fully airworthy and ready to for your next adventure! All logbook entries and documentation are available upon request. APPROVED BY REGULATION: For certified aircraft, replacement fuselage and wings must either be direct replacements or installed as part of a properly documented major repair in order to maintain airworthiness. The installation on this aircraft complies with those requirements. *The owner will ferry the aircraft to the winning bidder if needed for the cost of the fuel* Airplane is located in Deland, FL (KDED)
