Description
Headed in for fresh annual! Fantastic cross-country ship that's ready to take you on your adventures. Fast, efficient, and comfortable, I typically cruised around 130 knots while burning approximately 8.5 GPH. The "F" offers noticeably more cabin room than many expect, the rear seats recline! That makes longer trips comfortable for passengers. Plenty of useful load around 1030 and easy to keep in balance. The panel is solidly equipped for IFR flying, and the major ownership issues buyers worry most about have already been addressed. The engine is in what many consider the sweet spot of its life and is fully monitored by a JPI EDM-730. The wet wings were professionally stripped and resealed in June 2024 with 5 years of transferable warranty remaining, and the landing gear pucks were replaced just a few years ago during an annual at Don Maxwell Aviation. I've thoroughly enjoyed owning this airplane, and it's never failed to put a smile on my face. It's quick enough to make long trips practical, yet economical enough that you don't feel guilty flying it just because the weather is nice. I typically cruised in the low 130-knot range while burning around 8.5 GPH, and if you're in no hurry it'll happily loaf along on even less. The M20F is also a remarkably comfortable traveling airplane. The cabin is more spacious than many people expect, the rear seats recline, and carrying four adults with luggage and enough fuel for a respectable cross-country trip is entirely realistic. I'm simply moving on from aviation and hope this airplane finds someone who'll enjoy it as much as I have. It has been cared for, the major ownership items have been addressed, and it's ready for its next adventure. Complete logbooks and a professionally organized digital logbook package are available for serious buyers.. Engine
Lycoming IO-360-A1A with approximately 580 hours SMOH (2016, Aero Engines of Winchester). JPI EDM-730 engine monitor provides comprehensive engine monitoring and interfaces with the Garmin GNS 430W for fuel-to-destination calculations. Propeller has approximately 900 hours since overhaul and is not subject to the recurring prop hub AD. Magnetos have recently completed their 500-hour inspection, including replacement of wear components as required.
Propeller
Headed in for a fresh annual 7/26 so it will come with fresh annual. Fast, efficient, and exceptionally practical, this M20F has been maintained with an emphasis on reliability rather than cosmetic upgrades. Typical cruise is around 130 KTAS while burning approximately 8.5 GPH. The F model offers a spacious cabin for four adults, reclining rear seats, and approximately 1,030 pounds of useful load. Major Mooney ownership items have already been addressed, including a professional wet-wing strip and reseal by Wet Wingologists in June 2024 with approximately five years of transferable warranty remaining. Landing gear pucks were replaced during a Don Maxwell annual, and the aircraft is supported by complete logbooks with a professionally organized digital copy available to serious buyers.
Interior
Interior presents well with recovered front seats and original rear seating in excellent condition. Rear seats recline, making the M20F one of the most comfortable four-place traveling aircraft. Exterior is in honest flying condition with attractive overall presentation, not a show plane but you still walk out to her with head held high she's yours...
