Click here to register to bid Built in 1967 by Westland Helicopters and allocated military serial number XV126 whilst in service with the Army Air Corp. The aircraft was based at Middle Wallop with 666 Squadron. The current owner believes it to have been used in Northern Ireland and training exercises in the Falklands. The aircraft came onto the civil register as G-SCTA on the 18th of December 1995. The 50K insignia applied to the aircraft was to demonstrate the Squadron leaders callsign during training sorties. Comments by the current owner regarding the condition are:
“The aircraft has essentially had a full nut and bolt and paint restoration and is an excellent example showing both the left seat and right seat instruments, which seems rare now ”Not currently airworthy but last flown in June 2022, the aircraft has the potential to be re-certified for flight and is in the condition last flown with 7115.8hrs recorded” Click here to register to bid
