Check the Video Tab for a Walk Around. 1961 Piper Comanche 180. Well maintained and upgraded. Flown 75-125 hours per year. 929.47 hours SMOH on engine and propeller. Engine had new Lycoming cylinders, new cam shaft, and complete overhaul in December 2016. Uses about 1 quart per 15 hours. Magnetos just had 500 hour inspection January 2026. Upgraded spinner, skytec starter, and plane power alternator. Garmin 340 Audio panel, Garmin 430, Garmin GTR225 2nd Comm, and Garmin GTX345 Transponder with ADS-B In/Out. 2 Garmin G5s with battery backup, no vacuum system. IFR certified through September 2027. 1 Piece Windshield, Airtex Interior, headliner, leather seats, and carpet. Toe brakes on the pilot side. The aircraft stays on an Engine Dryer when parked to reduce all moisture from the crankcase. Try to fly at least once a week for at least an hour to prevent corrosion, no ground runs and parking. Aircraft hangared and de-humidified. Oil is changed every 25 hours. 970 lbs useful load. New paint before I purchased it, spent much of its life in Southern California. Last annual October 2025. Compressions: 77/79/79/78. New spark plugs. 1000 hour gear AD next inspection in 500 hours or October 2028. The plane has the new Australian Tail Horn, which eliminates further AD inspection requirements. LED Whelen Landing lights. In 2024 installed new Cleveland Brake Rotors and discs pads. The Gear system has been completely overhauled, Gear transmission serviced by Webco, new conduits some years back, new gear wire harness from Matt Kurke, installed Piper Emergency Gear Down Lock Kit 760-627. With this kit, if ever need to make a manual gear extension, the gear will not collapse. I have all the LogBooks from new. No damage history. Burns 9 gallons per hour and 5,000-7,000 AGL. Engine
Engine Rebuilt in 2016 by Gann Aviation from LaFayette, GA. Installed New Lycoming Cylinders, New Lycoming Cam Shaft, new tappets, overhauled accessory case, new plug wires, overhauled carburetor, new engine baffling. It has run perfectly for 929 hours. Engine is protected by Engine Dryer when parked, which pushes out all humidity from the crankcase. Magnetos just had their 500 hour inspection in January 2026 by Aircraft Magneto Service in Montana. New spark plugs at last annual. Engine starts on first crank almost every time.
