Built as a UC-61A for the USAAF and immediately shipped to England under the Lend-Lease agreement for use by the RAF and the Air Transport Auxilliary, flown mainly by women pilots. She was placed on the UK civil register post-war and exported to Australia in 1952. With the present owners for the last 25 years, 'Daphne' has always been hangared. She is registered with the Australian Warbirds Association and has a Special C of A in the Limited Category. Log books post-war including UK civil flights available. Warner Scarab R-500-7 165HP radial engine 600 hr TBO; 530 hr TSN; 58 hr since recent overhaul.
Wooden fixed-pitch prop; 500 hr TSN.
Last Annual Oct 2024; Leakdowns 75/75/79/78/79/79/79 all /80. Narco COM 120 VHF; Narco AT 150 Mode S Transponder; A-30 Altitude Digitiser; Narco 141 ADF (Currently inop);

In addition to the engine overhaul, both magnetos, the starter motor, generator, coil and carburettor were all overhauled, and new batteries and new tyres/tubes fitted. There is also a comprehensive collection of spare engine parts including 7 Warner cylinders.
