Description

This project is a set of Piper Cub factory parts originally sold as NC35532, a J-3F-65 built Feb 20, 1941. The serial number was 6437. I have owned this project for about 35 years. The intention was to restore it with my kids as they grew up so they could learn to fly in it. However, turns out kids are busy people! Now that I'm retired I find I don't fit into a J-3 very well, so it needs a new home. It has been stored in my insulated, climate controlled hangar since it arrived, and was in a series of hangars before then. Included are two sets of wings, one standard one clipped with an aluminum spar, along with many additional control surfaces and parts which are pictured separately. While in the possession of a previous owner, the airworthiness certificate was transferred to someone else, who used it to build up a different airframe. I have been told by FAA people that this one may be rebuilt and submitted to them for a new airworthiness certificate. I leave that paperwork to the new owner. Please see the following web page to see all the parts.
