1936 Taylorcraft BC-12D

For Sale: Two restorable Taylorcraft BC12D aircraft - one 1944 model and one 1946 model. Both airframes are serviceable, along with one set of wings. The uncovered wings will require significant restoration due to corrosion along the trailing edges. One set of struts is serviceable with the AD complied with. There is one complete set of serviceable tail feathers; the second set will need extensive work. The engine has low hours and has been properly pickled for long-term storage. It has been periodically turned over and lubricated to prevent cylinder or ring damage. The propeller is in very good condition with no cracks or leading-edge damage. Most gauges are included. These aircraft do not have electrical systems, so there are no radios or navigation equipment. A variety of spare parts will also be included. I originally purchased these aircraft with the intention of restoring them myself, but health and age have changed those plans. This project is best suited for someone with an A P license or access to an experienced fabric aircraft technician. Asking $20,000 OBO. Reasonable offers are welcome-I'm happy to negotiate. This would make an excellent backcountry/STOL project or a great weekend flyer for building time. All logbooks are included.
