About the Piper Seminole
The Piper Seminole (PA-44) is a four-seat light twin built around counter-rotating propellers, which eliminate the critical engine and make engine-out training cleaner and more symmetric. A flight-school staple for the multi-engine and commercial ratings, it pairs two Lycoming engines with docile, forgiving handling, cruising around 160 kt. Decades in production make it one of the most familiar twins on any training ramp.
