About the Robinson R44 Clipper II
The Robinson R44 Clipper II is the float-equipped version of the fuel-injected Raven II. It pairs the 245 hp Lycoming IO-540, 2,500 lb gross weight and hydraulic controls of the Raven II with fixed utility floats or pop-out emergency floats for over-water operation.
The added power of the Raven II engine makes the Clipper II well suited to heavier amphibious utility, tour and survey roles, and it is the most capable factory float configuration in the R44 line. Used examples typically sell between $250,000 and $750,000.
Buy it if you fly coastal, island or lake routes and want fuel-injection performance; choose the standard Raven II if you don't need water capability.
Produced 2002.
