About the Piper Pacer

The Piper Pacer (PA-20) is a 1950s short-wing four-seat taildragger and the conventional-gear sibling of the Tri-Pacer. Built on the same steel-tube, fabric-covered "short-wing Piper" airframe, the Pacer offers honest tailwheel handling, four seats and respectable cruise for its era. It is prized by classic-aircraft owners who want a capable, affordable taildragger with more room than a Cub, and many later Tri-Pacers have been converted back to Pacer configuration.
